With around two weeks to go, it is really time to get excited about the 30th year of Byron Bay 7s Festival. Read through some important info to help you and your teammates to prepare for an awesome weekend on 19 & 20 October.

Draw & Results

The draw is now finalised and available for you to view by using the below link.

This will be updated with results during the weekend so you can use this as your reference to see how other teams in your group are tracking and follow results In the other pools or competitions.

Food & Beverage

The event is a fully licensed event with RSA marshals and roving security throughout the venue. You can not bring your own alcohol into the venue.

There are a number of food trucks attending to ensure you are well fed during the event and two bars including the Coopers Fan Zone bar area with ice cold Coopers on tap and DJs playing throughout the whole weekend.

Medical & Physio

We have onsite first aid team and Hub to ensure everyone is well looked after during the event.

Strapping and any other physiotherapy needs will be available onsite at a cost per team/ player.

The first aid and Physio service will be championed by Gemma Harvey from Vitalise Physiotherapy Lismore. She is very experienced in her field and in the rugby union circuit and had been looking after Byron Bay Rugby Club for the last 5 years.

Please see attached site map which shows allocated spaces to set up your area, it’s a first come first serve basis for spots so get down early on the Saturday or Friday evening to claim your spot with your marquee.

Long Lunch

If you have not seen yet, on the Friday 18th October we have a world cup focused luncheon event at the Byron Bowlo with 4 fantastic guest speakers, George Smith, Lote Tuqiri, Rico Gear and Caleb Ralph.

Come and listen to some great world cup stories from world class players that have been there and done it first-hand.

Single tickets and full table prices are available, limited seats so don’t miss out kick off your 7s weekend in an epic way.

Merchandise

We have the team from Paladin onsite with the official Byron Bay 7s merchandise stand.

Make sure you have a look at their gear and treat yourself to a Byron Bay 7s souvenir.

Singlets and caps are $20 each.

Players Party

The Saturday player party will be at the Bowlo with both World Cup Quarter Finals being shown on the big screen, first one kicks off at 6:15pm.

We encourage all teams to dress up and enter the year fancy dress competition which will be hosted during the evening.

Things to Bring & Remember

Things to bring and remember:

  • Marquee for you and your team to have a base to prepare and rest and escape the sun.
  • Water bottles – There are a number of taps to fill these from.
  • Cash – It’s a cash only bar.
  • Valid ID, you may be asked for ID at any time if you are drinking at the bar at the event.
  • Sun Cream – Be sun smart as its two big days of rugby.
  • You CAN NOT bring your own alcohol it is a FULLY LICENSED EVENT.
  •  You need to download, print and complete your team sheet and submit before you start playing on the Saturday morning. 14 players MAX.
